Vietnam’s export of aquatic products in 2024 is estimated to reach $10 billion, soaring 12.7% compared to last year, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). 

Exports of key products recorded high growth, including shrimp with a revenue of $4 billion, up 16.7% year-on-year; tuna nearly $1 billion, 17%; and tra fish $2 billion, 9.6%.

The seafood sector is one of key industries of Vietnam, making important contribution to the country’s economy, accounting for 16% of the export revenue of the agricultural industry.

With an annual export turnover of $9-11 billion, Vietnam is the world's third largest seafood exporter, following China and Norway.
