The Ministry of Transport (MoT) will allocate over VND5.1 trillion ($212 million) from the State budget for certain key projects in the Mekong Delta’s Dong Thap province.
Of the sum, VND1.947 trillion ($81 million) will be invested in the construction of the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway, VND848 billion ($25.3 million) will be earmarked to complete a connectivity project in the center of the Mekong Delta, and VND909 billion ($37.8 million) will go to the Cao Lanh - Hong Ngu section of the National Highway No. 30 project.
The Cao Lanh - Lo Te Expressway and the first phase of the My An - Cao Lanh Expressway will receive VND738 billion ($30.75 million) and VND475 billion ($19.8 million), respectively.
The MoT will also prioritize investment capital of VND194 billion ($7.98 million) for the construction of National Highway No. 54 passing through Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Tra Vinh provinces at a total length of 155 km.
