Ho Chi Minh City will add 22 bus routes providing connectivity with stations on Metro Line No. 1 and joining eleven existing routes, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Management Center for Public Transport.

This is part of a plan to enhance access to and organize bus routes connecting with the metro line, which was approved recently by the municipal People’s Council.

Total investment for the plan is estimated at VND94 billion ($3.96 million).

Bus routes will reach all 14 stations along the southern city’s first metro line.

The 19.7-km metro line, running from Ben Thanh Market in District 1 to Suoi Tien Theme Park in Thu Duc city, is expected to be put into operation in early 2024.

It consists of three underground stations and eleven aboveground stations.

Total investment stands at VND43.7 trillion ($1.84 billion).
