It is estimated that around 3 million tourists have been served in Vietnam during the National Day holidays from August 31 to September 3, a year-on-year increase of 20%, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).
The average accommodation occupation rate reached 56%, up 1.85% year-on-year.
The number of international holidaymakers visiting major tourist destinations posted significant increase. Key markets include the Republic of Korea, China, Taiwan (China), India, Europe and the US.
During the holidays, more than 4,250 flights were operated, marking an average of 840 flights daily, surging 3.5% compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, about 130,000 passenger trains ran across the country, up 10% year-on-year.
