The Cam Lo - La Son Expressway, connecting central Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Tri provinces, was officially opened to traffic on December 31.

The 98.3-km section has total investment of more than VND7.6 trillion ($321 million).

Construction began in September 2019.

It is a section within the first phase of the eastern North-South Expressway project in the 2017-2022 period.

The Cam Lo - La Son section will help develop transport infrastructure in the central region and the country, making goods transport between Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provinces and Da Nang city more convenient.
