Nearly 400 enterprises and household businesses providing catering services in Hanoi have applied tax declaration methods using electronic invoices from point-of-sale (POS) machines, according to the latest report from the city’s tax department.
Businesses include restaurants and restaurant franchises, hotels, and supermarkets.
The department said it will continue to conduct reviews and guide taxpayers on using e-invoices.
To effectively implement electronic tax payment services, the department will speed up information provision on related policies and benefits, to encourage the participation of more businesses.
The Electronic Invoice Operation Center at the Hanoi Department of Taxation will maintain operations to provide support to taxpayers.
The General Department of Taxation officially opened its e-commerce information portal and launched electronic invoices from cash registers on December 15.
Implementation of e-invoices is a major breakthrough for the tax sector, contributing to transforming management and organization at tax authorities to reform administrative procedures, create favorable conditions, cut costs, and increase enterprise productivity.
