A $8.7 mln bridge project linking northern Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces approved

The People's Council of northern Bac Ninh province has approved the investment policy for Van Ha bridge project , connecting  Bac Ninh city to neighboring province's Viet Yen town, Radio the Voice of Vietnam reported.

The investment scale includes a permanent reinforced concrete bridge, approximately 360 m in length, with a total investment capital estimated at around VND220 billion ($8.68 million).

Accordingly, the investment in the Van Ha bridge project is considered highly necessary, facilitating the exchange and development of economic, cultural, and social activities, as well as disaster prevention and rescue efforts for both provinces.

The construction plan for the Van Ha bridge and its access roads is in accordance with the general urban planning of Bac Ninh province until 2045, which has been approved by the Prime Minister, and the province’s urban subdivision planning.

The preparation for investment and commencement is scheduled for 2025, with the project to be completed in 2026.
