Domestic air passenger transport has recovered strongly and grown 41.8 per cent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2023, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV).
The total number of passengers carried by Vietnamese airlines rose 20.1 per cent.
Foreign passengers carried by local airlines were up 424.2 per cent year-on-year, while domestic passengers were down 4.4 per cent.
Figures from the CAAV also show that the on-time performance of flights was 85.4 per cent on a total of 173,579 flights, a 2-point decline compared to the same period of 2022.
