Annual Vietnam Economic Scenario Forum to open today

Annual Forum to discuss Vietnam’s economic scenario in 2022 and subsequent years.

The annual Vietnam Economic Scenario Forum is an important economic event held by VnEconomy - Vietnam Economic Times since 2008. Over the course of its 13 holdings, the Forum has been welcomed by Vietnam’s business community and foreign enterprises and become a reputable and effective information sharing and feedback channel greatly appreciated by domestic and international economists and analysts. This year’s Forum is being chaired by VnEconomy - Vietnam Economic Times in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the theme “Recovery & Acceleration of Growth: From Politics and Economic Stimulus Strategies to the Resilience of Industries, Localities and Businesses”.

It will discuss and focus on analyzing and assessing the current economic situation and the resilience of industries and sectors, economic regions, localities, and businesses following the Covid-19 pandemic. The Forum will also identify the new global economic context and changes in global economic value chains that may impact the operations and management methods of businesses. The impact, suitability, and effectiveness of economic stimulus policies implemented and to be implemented will be assessed, as will recently-revised laws. The Forum will identify new growth drivers that are likely to promote recovery, and will propose feasible solutions to reach the growth recovery goals set by the Party and the government in 2022 and the years to come.

Leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Editor-in-Chief of VnEconomy - Vietnam Economic Times will chair the Forum, which will also see the participation of leaders and representatives from the Central Economic Commission, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Economic Committee of the National Assembly, departments and agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the State Bank of Vietnam, the General Department of Tourism, and research institutes.

It will be held both in-person and online and involve 34 cities and provinces and many businesses around the country.
