Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision to set up an appraisal council to assess the feasibility study of a project to build the Dau Giay - Tan Phu (first phase) expressway section in Vietnam’s south in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.
The council will be chaired by the Minister of Planning and Investment.
The 60-km Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway section was approved by the Prime Minister in September 2022.
It has total investment of an estimated VND9 trillion ($375 million), with over VND7.7 trillion ($320 million) to come from the investor and the remainder from the State budget.
The section will have four lanes and a speed limit of 80-100 kph.
This is the first part of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway linking the central highlands’ Lam Dong province with Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces, totaling more than 200 km in length.
