Ba Ria-Vung Tau to spend $62mln on expressway intersection

Southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province plans to invest VND1.5 trillion ($62.5 million) in building an intersection linking Provincial Road No. 991 with the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, according to the provincial Department of Transport.

The project is necessary to develop an industrial park in the north of Chau Duc district and a tourism, urban, and industrial complex in Phu My commune, the department said.

Provincial Road No. 991 is one of two provincial routes connecting Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port with south-central Binh Thuan province.

The province kicked off the construction of sub-project No. 3 in the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway on June 18 this year, which passes through the province for 19.5 km.

The expressway connects Ba Ria-Vung Tau with southern Dong Nai province and has a total length of nearly 54 km with three sub-projects. Investment is estimated at VND18 trillion ($750 million).
