In the first four months of 2025, Bac Ninh province attracted more than $1.91 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), marking a 2.2-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
Of the total, 87 FDI projects have been granted investment registration certificates, with a total capital of $552.6 million. Investors primarily came from China (49 projects) and Singapore (12 projects).
In April alone, Bac Ninh approved 21 new FDI registrations, totaling $315.4 million. Notable among these were two major projects from China, one focusing on headphone and smart wearable device manufacturing, and another specializing in the manufacturing, processing, and assembly of display screens.
Additionally, in the past four months, Bac Ninh approved capital adjustments for 56 projects, adding over $1.4 billion in registered capital, reflecting a 3.3-fold increase year-on-year. Meanwhile, capital contributions and share purchases amounted to $12.4 million.
To date, the province has licensed 2,475 active projects, with a total registered investment capital—including adjustments and capital contributions—reaching $31.04 billion.
