Data from Vietnam Securities Depository shows that the number of new stock market account openings fell dramatically in July, to nearly 199,000, down 57 per cent compared to June. Liquidity in the market also fell sharply. The average trading value on HoSE, HNX, and UPCOM was down 24.1 per cent against June and 45.7 per cent year-on-year.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the total volume of corporate bonds set to mature in the three years from 2022 to 2024 is some VND745.4 trillion ($31.95 billion), primarily those of real estate businesses and credit institutions, which have around VND208 trillion ($8.9 billion) each.
