The first phase of the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park and Township in south-central Binh Dinh province was officially opened on March 4.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the inauguration ceremony.

Construction of the industrial park (IP) and township was kicked off in September 2020 by the Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) and the Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Group.

The project has total investment capital of VND7.5 trillion ($303.6 million) and covers 1,374 ha at the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, comprising 1,000 ha of industrial park and 374 ha of resettlement, residential, trade, and service facilities.

The first phase, covering about 230 ha, has attracted four FDI projects with capital of $96 million in total from Germany, Hong Kong (China), South Korea, and the Netherlands.
