Southern Binh Duong province has so far attracted nearly 4,300 FDI projects with a total investment capital of nearly $40.6 billion, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.
The province ranked third in the country in terms of FDI capital, following Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, as a result.
Binh Duong has lured investment from 65 countries and territories, with the largest amounts of capital from Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, China, Denmark and the US.
In the first five months of this year, the province attracted over $341 million of FDI capital.
Industrial parks in the province are a location for 3,128 active projects, including 2,448 foreign-invested projects with a total registered capital of more than $29.6 billion and 680 domestic projects with a total registered capital of VND93.8 trillion ($3.68 billion).
Industrial parks have so far leased 7,067.49 ha, reaching an occupancy rate of 93.67%.
