The Binh Duong Provincial People’ Committee has released the Binh Duong Green Book 2022, honoring 40 enterprises that have made considerable contributions to environmental protection in the locality.
The Binh Duong Green Book is released every two years, aiming to honor and commend production and service establishments that have posted outstanding achievements in environmental protection. The move also aims to raise awareness among enterprises about protecting the environment through improved production facilities and compliance with regulations on the environment.
Enterprises must satisfy certain criteria to see their name appear in the Green Book, for example having their environmental assessment report assessed and approved by relevant authorities, having carried out waste treatment projects recognized by relevant authorities, not having committed any violations in the protection of the environment and water resources, and not having faced any complaints from local people about causing environmental pollution.
Enterprises honored were evaluated and classified in three criteria: Compliance with regulations and standards in environmental and industrial hygiene; compliance with procedures and dossiers for the management of environment and related issues and criteria; and receipt of environmental awards or actively taking part in environmental protection activities in the local community.
