Southern Binh Duong province plans to build a dual-use airport to boost its socio-economic development, according to the Provincial People’s Committee.

The airport will cover 200 ha in Dau Tieng district.

In addition to developing the airport, the province will also invest in promoting infrastructure to boost regional links, including sections of Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No. 3 and Ring Road No. 4, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, and a road along the Saigon River connecting the province’s Thu Dau Mot city and Thuan An city with Ho Chi Minh City.

The Prime Minister approved the national airport development master plan in the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2050 in June, under which Vietnam is to have 30 airports by 2030.
