The Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People’s Council has approved an investment plan to build a bridge crossing Tam Giang Lagoon in the central province’s Phu Vang district, with an estimated cost of over VND1 trillion ($42 million).
Capital will be sourced from the State budget.
The project has a total length of 3 km and includes the bridge over Tam Giang Lagoon, spanning 1.4 km, and two approach roads of 1.6 km.
Construction is to start in 2024 and be completed four years later.
The project is expected to contribute to completing the traffic network in coastal area of Thua Thien-Hue and open up a new development space for the province’s coastal tourism.
