Hue city in Central Vietnam attracted over VND27.72 trillion ($1.05 billion) worth of investment capital in the first six months of the year, according to the municipal People’s Committee.
During the period, the municipal authorities granted investment certificates for 19 projects, including 3 from foreign investors, worth $18.68 million totally. Meanwhile, 7 other projects were licensed to adjust capital.
One of the spotlight in the city’s investment attraction is the capital increase by the Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company to over VND21.1 trillion ($804 million) for its automobile manufacturing and assembly complex.
The city also approved investment policy for eight other projects with a combined investment capital of more than VND1.6 trillion ($60 million), expanding development space for the fields of industry and services.
