Central Nghe An province continued to rank among the top 10 centrally-run cities and provinces nationwide in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2024, marking three consecutive years of this achievement.

In 2024, FDI attraction continued to be a significant highlight for Nghe An's Southeast Economic Zone, with 15 new projects and 14 projects increasing their capital, thus bringing the total FDI capital poured in this economic zone this year, including newly registered and adjusted capital, to nearly $1.65 billion, exceeding 235% of its set target.
According to Mr. Tien Tri, Head of the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone of Nghe An province, in 2025, the Board will approve a plan to build 5-7 sub-areas for industrial parks and functional areas, in accordance with the adjusted overall planning of the Southeast Economic Zone until 2040.
Additionally, they aim to establish 2-4 new industrial parks with a total area of approximately 900 ha and attract about 20-25 projects.
