Market signals for central Thanh Hoa Province are looking strong, with export orders for various product categories showing promising trends for 2025. The province aims to achieve a total export value of $8 billion or more this year.
According to a report from the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Thanh Hoa’s export activities continued to grow in January 2025. The estimated value of exported goods for the month surpassed $603 million, marking a 6.4% increase compared to the previous month and a 0.6% rise from the same period in 2024.
Several key products from the province showed significant year-over-year increases in output: cement (nearly 153,800 tons, up 82.1%); garment (59.04 million units, up 64.4%); wood chips (73,003 tons, up 52.1%); benzene (18,609 tons, up 50.9%); p-xylene (61,240 tons, up 47.5%); and footwear (45.13 million pairs, up 40.9%).
In 2024, Thanh Hoa’s total export value was estimated at nearly $6.3 billion, achieving 104.9% of the planned target and representing a 23.4% increase from the previous year.
Currently, 212 businesses in Thanh Hoa Province are engaged in exporting 55 types of goods to 68 markets worldwide. The main export products include garments, footwear, seafood, cement, wood chips, and post-refinery products, among others.
