China Southern Airlines resumed its Shenzhen–Da Nang service on October 2, with the first flight landing at Da Nang International Airport carrying more than 170 passengers.
A welcoming ceremony was held at Terminal 2 to mark the event.
The route’s restoration is seen as a significant step in boosting trade and tourism ties between the two countries and the two cities, with Da Nang expecting further growth in arrivals from China. Local authorities said the city will continue working to restore more routes from major Chinese cities in the near future.
China Southern Airlines will initially operate six round-trip flights on October 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, and 22.
The renewed connection is expected to open up broader opportunities not only in tourism but also in economic and cultural cooperation.
