Investment of an estimated $296 million to go to urban area in Long An province.

A consortium has been selected to invest in building an ecological urban area in the Mekong Delta’s Long An province, with investment capital estimated at over VND7.1 trillion ($296 million), according to the Long An Provincial People’s Committee.

It includes the Melinh Plaza Thanh Hoa Trading Complex Investment JSC, the Vinh Commercial Center Investment JSC, and the Eurowindow Nha Trang Investment and Tourism JSC.

The project covers more than 137.2 ha in Tan An city and will house some 17,225 people.

The investor must use over 86,000 sq m of land in the project for social housing. The land will be handed over to local authorities to call for investors to build social housing.

Project construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2030.
