Hong Kong-invested South Asia Knitwear Limited kicked off the construction of a factory producing high-quality woolen textile and garment products in central Thanh Hoa province on May 25.

The Nam Ich Thai Thang plant covers nearly 82,000 sq m at Thai Thang Industrial Cluster in Hoang Hoa district.

Total investment capital is estimated at VND1.09 trillion ($42.8 million).

The construction is scheduled for completion in January 2025.

The factory’s output, including high-quality woolen textile and garment products, is aimed at the domestic and international markets.

Once completed, the factory is expected to attract and create jobs and income for more than 5,000 workers.

This is the third project of the company in Thanh Hoa province. The first factory was put into operation in 2018 with 1,400 workers and the second since 2020, with 2,000 laborers.
