Its first phase, covering more than 97 ha, is scheduled to be built in the 2021-2025 period with estimated investment of over VND500 billion ($20.8 million).

This first phase will be jointly implemented by the Vietnam-Singapore IP Ltd. Co (VSIP), the Bien Hoa Amata Urban Joint Stock Company under Thailand’s Amata Group, and the Sumitomo Corporation from Japan.

The Provincial People’s Committee also revealed that construction of My Thuy Seaport will resume in February. Construction began in February 2020, but has faced delays as a result of site clearance issues and an approaching wet season.

Total investment stands at over VND14.2 trillion ($592 million).

The 685-ha port is designed to have ten wharves capable of berthing vessels of up to 100,000 tons.
