Construction of a bridge connecting northern Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh provinces, part of the Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Thai Binh - Hai Phong Expressway, began on September 29.
The 2-km bridge crosses the Day River and will be built at an estimated cost of VND1.450 trillion ($60 million).
The project was approved by the Prime Minister in July and will use public investment capital from the socio-economic recovery and development program.
It has four lanes and a speed limit of 100 kph.
Construction will be completed in December, 2024.
The bridge will help link key transport routes in Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh, promote regional connections, reduce traffic congestion in local transport networks, shorten travel times, and create the conditions for socio-economic development.
