Ngô Anh Văn -

Six-lane road runs for 3 km and will cost $50 million.

The Da Nang City People’s Committee officially kicked off construction of a coastal road to Lien Chieu Port on September 8.

Stretching 3 km and with six lanes, the project has total investment capital of VND1.2 trillion ($50 million), including VND500 billion ($20.8 million) from the State budget and the remainder from the city’s budget.

It will play a significant role as a specialized transportation route facilitating access to port areas and will quickly and safely link with the national and urban traffic networks while mitigating the impact on traffic safety and the surrounding landscape.

The project is also expected to promote the establishment and development of the northern area of the city, as planned, creating competitive advantages, attracting investors, and ensuring marine economic development and economic growth in the central city, in line with Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 on the Strategy for the Sustainable Development of Vietnam’s Marine Economy through 2030 and Vision to 2045.

The route also facilitates the transportation of goods from the Lien Chieu Industrial Park, Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, Da Nang IT Park, and other industrial parks nearby Lien Chieu Port.
