The People's Committee of the north central province of Quang Binh has approved a zoning plan for developing an urban area in the province's Dong Hoi city.

This is part of the adjusted master plan for the development of Dong Hoi  city and its surrounding areas through 2045, contributing to organizing sustainable development space, synchronizing infrastructure, and enhancing the quality of life for local residents.

The planning scope covers the entire administrative boundary of Bac Nghia Ward in Dong Hoi City, with a total area of more than 749 ha. Of this, the urban development area accounts for 702.52 hectares.

Furthermore, the plan serves as a tool to guide investment and construction, connect infrastructure, and implement detailed projects within the area.

The population in the planned area is forecast to reach approximately 14,571 people by 2045.
