Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang has directed relevant agencies and localities to complete procedures to begin construction of sub-projects in all expressways before June 30, as required by the government, including the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway.

Mr. Pham Van Trinh, Deputy Director of the Project 6 Management Board, said after the Ministry of Transport approved the second sub-project of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway that the board has worked to quicken procedures to implement the project on schedule.

Some 70 per cent of site clearance will be completed before the sub-project gets underway, he said.

The second sub-project has a total length of 37 km and capital of an estimated VND10.43 trillion ($436 million).

The expressway will link south-central Khanh Hoa province and Buon Ma Thuot city in the central highlands’ Dak Lak province.
