Construction of the My An - Cao Lanh Expressway in the Mekong Delta is expected to get underway next year if adjustments to the investment policy for the project are approved this month, according to the Ministry of Transport (MoT).
The project consists of two phases to be deployed in January and September 2024.
The 27.43-km expressway project will connect Dong Thap and Tien Giang provinces.
The first phase, with a total length of 16 km, crosses through Dong Thap province and will have four lanes. The second phase, over 11 km in length, will run from Dong Thap to Tien Giang.
The project was given the green light by the Prime Minister in December 2021, with estimated investment capital of nearly VND4.8 trillion ($193.1 million).
Its investment was then increased by over VND1.5 trillion ($63.3 million), based on real data and calculations.
