The total value of corporate bonds issued in the first half of 2024 reached over VND57.1 trillion ($2.24 billion), a remarkable increase of 62% year-on-year, according to MB Securities (MBS).
Real estate sector remained the largest issuer in the six-month period, with bonds value totaling VND25.3 trillion ($993 million), up 4% year-on-year and accounting for 44% of the total.
Major issuers in the sector include Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, with bond issuance worth VND10 trillion ($392 million), and Hai Dung Real Estate Development and Investment Ltd.Co, with VND2.5 trillion ($98 million).
It was followed by the banking sector with a total issuance value of VND19.9 trillion ($781 million), accounting for 35% of the total.
Major issuers from the bamking sector are Ho Chi Minh City Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank, with VND5 trillion ($196 million); Techcombank VND4.5 trillion ($176 million); and Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank VND3.8 trillion ($149 million).
