The Ministry of Finance has directed businesses to pay principal and interest on bonds for investors as committed.
When they find it difficult to do so, they must proactively negotiate to find reasonable and effective solutions to restructure their debts and choose appropriate payment methods in line with regulations.
The ministry said recent violations in bond issuances have had a negative effect on investor psychology and the corporate bond market.
It has worked with nearly 40 corporate bond issuers and organizations that provide services in the corporate bond market to find measures to strengthen trust among investors and tackle difficulties in the corporate bond market.
In the first quarter of 2023, the total value of corporate bonds issued reached over VND24.7 trillion ($1.03 billion).
