Vietnam has officially established three new Innovation and Expert Networks in strategic technologies: Quantum Technology (VNQuantum), Cybersecurity (ViSecurity), and Aviation, Aerospace, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV Vietnam).
The move is expected to strengthen the country’s integration into the global high-tech value chain.
The announcement was made at a ceremony held on August 25, marking a new milestone for the Vietnam Innovation Network, which has been supported by the National Innovation Centre (NIC) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance), established since 2019.
The networks aim to implement the Party and State’s policies on attracting and utilizing talent, absorbing global technological advances, and leveraging the intellectual potential of the nation, particularly Vietnamese experts and intellectuals abroad.
To date, the Vietnam Innovation Network has established 10 networks across 22 countries and territories, with more than 2,000 members, including leading experts, chief engineers, and chief architects in key industries. It has also supported the establishment of five specialized networks in strategic technologies, working with universities, research institutes, and enterprises to address major national challenges.
