CPTPP member countries rank second in Vietnamese tra fish import

Country members of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) have exceeded the US to become the second largest importer of Vietnamese tra fish, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

In January, CPTPP member countries imported $21 million worth of Vietnamese tra fish, figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs showed. Of which, export to Mexico reached the highest revenue among the bloc, estimated at $5 million.

During the period, Vietnam’s tra fish export value amounted to over $133 million, down 19% year-on-year.

China and Hong Kong (China) remained the largest importer of Vietnamese tra fish in January with export turnover of more than $31 million, accounting for 24% of Vietnam’s total tra fish export value.
