Vietnam’s cyber security sector recorded turnover of VND2.154 trillion ($90.8 million) in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 14.3 per cent, figures from the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) show.
There are 106 cyber security companies in the sector, employing 3,601 people.
MoIC’s Authority of Information Security detected and handled 6,362 cyber attacks in the period, down 4.2 per cent year-on-year.
The ministry issued an action plan in the second quarter to implement the national strategy on cyber security and safety, in order to be proactive in coping with cyber challenges by 2025 with a vision towards 2030.
