The Da Lat City People’s Committee in the central highlands province of Lam Dong has asked the investor of the five-star Merperle Dalat Hotel project at 1 Hung Vuong in Ward 10 to cease proceeding with the project due to violations.

Under the construction license granted to the Khai Vy Group, the Basement Level 2 was allowed to have a floor area of 5,806 sq m but 7,092 sq m was built upon, or 1,286 sq m more than permitted.

Similarly, the actual construction of Basement Level 1 was 1,315 sq m larger than the permitted area. The project’s first floor also surpassed its permitted area by 955 sq m.

Based on these violations, the People’s Committee requested that the Khai Vy Group suspend construction and carry out measures directed by relevant authorities.

With total investment of VND1 trillion ($41 million), the Merperle Dalat Hotel was approved by the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee in October 2018 with 12 floors, including two basements, on a total area of 11,782 sq m.
