Central Da Nang city has disbursed nearly VND1.7 trillion ($72 million) of public investment capital so far this year, a year-on-year increase of more than 14 per cent, according to the city’s Statistics Office.
The figure is equivalent to 27 per cent of the city’s annual target.
In May alone, it had disbursed VND445 billion ($18.7 million), up 21 per cent compared to the previous month.
The city plans to disburse over VND7.9 trillion ($333 million) this year.
To speed up disbursement, local authorities have taken measures to tackle difficulties in project implementation, particularly obstacles relating to site clearance, investment procedures, and construction materials.
