The Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee has approved component project 5: The Resettlement Area in Hoa Tien Commune to serve the country's North–South High-Speed Railway project
With total investment capital exceeding VND380 billion (approximately $14.7 million), the project is scheduled for implementation from 2026 to 2029.
Specifically, the project will execute compensation, support, resettlement arrangements, and the relocation of technical infrastructure systems to accommodate the Da Nang section of the projected North–South high-speed rail line.
The designated site covers an area of over 24.5 ha. Under the 1/500-scale detailed master plan, the project will build technical infrastructure systems, including ground leveling, transport roads, rainwater and wastewater drainage, a wastewater treatment station, power supply, public lighting, multi-utility service trenches, and green parks.
The resettlement zone is designed to provide housing for residents affected by the high-speed rail corridor through Da Nang, safeguard the lawful rights and legitimate interests of landholders subject to expropriation, and contribute to stabilizing living conditions, livelihoods, and social security for displaced households.
Da Nang authorities are accelerating administrative procedures for site clearance, infrastructure construction, and resettlement arrangements to align with the construction timeline of the North–South high-speed railway project, following the investment policy endorsed by the 15th National Assembly under Resolution No. 172/2024/QH15.
