Central Da Nang city posted GRDP growth of 2.83 per cent year-on-year in the first nine months of 2023, figures from the city’s Statistics Office show.

The services sector saw the highest growth, of 4.44 per cent, contributing 0.37 percentage points to growth in gross regional domestic product (GRDP). Forestry and fisheries rose 0.13 per cent.

The construction and industrial sector, meanwhile, lost 2.02 per cent.

Da Nang’s economic scale reached over VND97.58 trillion ($4.06 billion) in the nine-month period, an increase of VND7 trillion ($291 million) compared to the same period last year.

The city’s Statistics Office said the local economy continued to face many difficulties in the third quarter. Many sectors were on a downwards trajectory compared to 2022, affecting the economic growth of the city as a whole.
