Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has signed Prime Ministerial Decision No. 1238/QD-TTg, dated October 22, on expansion of the concentrated information technology zone in the Da Nang Software Park, which will be named as the Da Nang Software Park No 2.

Under the decision,  the Da Nang Software Park No 2, upon expansion, will cover an area of 28,573 sq.m in Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City.

The Da Nang city People's Committee will be the investor of the expanding project for the Da Nang Software Park No 2, according to Decision  No. 1238/QD-TTg.

Under the decision, enterprises which invest in IT projects in the Da Nang Software Park No 2 will  enjoy preferential policies as regulated by Government Decree No.154/2013/ND-CP, dated Novermber 8, 2013, and other incentives applied to concentrated information technology zones. 

The Da Nang Software Park No 2 project, with a total initial investment of nearly VND800 billion ($31.4 million), was approved by the Da Nang City People's Committee under its Decision No 1565/QD-UBND dated May 4, 2020. The investment level was subsequently adjusted to nearly VND1 trillion (nearly $39.3 million), making it a key project for the central city.
