Van Ninh – Cam Lo Expressway, a key section of the Eastern North–South Expressway, was officially put into operation on August 19.

The 65.5-kilometer route carries a total investment of over VND9.9 trillion ($376 million). It runs across central Quang Tri province and connects with Cam Lo – La Son Expressway, helping to promote trade, tourism and investment attraction for the north-central region.

Construction started in January, 2023.

As planned, the Eastern North-South Expressway runs from northern Lang Son province to the southernmost Ca Mau province with a total length of 2,055km.

The Government set a target of completing 3,000km of expressway by the end of 2025.
