The Nghe An 1,000-bed Oncology Hospital in central Nghe An province was offcially inaugurated on the morning of August 19, after the completion of its phase 2 construction.

This is one of 250 projects simultaneously commenced or inaugurated nationwide by the Government to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The establishment of Nghe An Oncology Hospital 15 years ago met the urgent need for cancer examination and treatment in the province.  When it first started operating, the hospital, with a scale of 50 beds, 50 staff members, and very poor equipment, faced countless difficulties.

The phase 2 construction of the hospital started in January 2023, completed in early June 2025. As a prime oncology hospital in the country's north central region, it had been classified as a Group A investment project, with a total investment of VND 1,689 billion (more than $64 million).
