The Da Nang City People's Committee has approved a major infrastructure project to develop the Le Thanh Nghi – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Thang Long – Hoa Xuan Bridge intersection complex, with a total investment exceeding VND1.57 trillion ($60.12 million), fully funded by the city’s budget.

Scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2029, the project will be divided into two key components.

Component Project 01, covering compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance, will be managed by the Da Nang City Land Fund Development Center, with an investment capital of over VND129.5 billion (nearly $5 million).

Component Project 02, led by the Da Nang Management Board for Traffic and Agricultural Construction Projects, will involve the complete construction of the intersection complex. With a budget of over VND1.44 trillion (over $55 million), the scope includes bridges, roads, water supply and drainage systems, lighting, telecommunications, and other essential technical infrastructure.

According to the approved plan, the existing Hoa Xuan Bridge will be preserved, while a new parallel bridge will be built downstream.

Key upgrades include underpasses along Cach Mang Thang Tam and Thang Long streets, featuring frontage roads on both sides; widening of Le Thanh Nghi Street; and construction of a new riverside road beneath Hoa Xuan Bridge, connecting Giang Huong 1 Street to Ton That Duong Ky Street.

The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion during peak hours at the Hoa Xuan Bridge intersection, enhance traffic capacity, and ensure road safety for commuters across the area.
