Central Da Nang city attracted nearly VND41 trillion ($1.7 billion) in investment in projects outside of industrial parks in the first ten months of 2023, up 500 per cent year-on-year, the Voice of Vietnam has reported.
During the period, investments in industrial parks and information technology zones reached VND1.32 trillion ($54.3 million), a rise of 37.5 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to the city’s Department of Planning and Investment.
As of October 15, Da Nang had attracted nearly $177 million in FDI, 135 per cent of the figure in the same period of 2022.
“We have made all-out efforts to lure FDI investors,” said Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Planning and Investment Le Minh Tuong. “In the final months of the year, we expect to see positive growth from FDI attraction. Da Nang targets luring an additional $200 million from FDI projects by the end of the year.”
