Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai proposed Samsung continue to expand its investment in Vietnam in the future at a meeting with the President of Samsung Electronics Park Hark Kyu in Hanoi on January 13.

He expressed his appreciation of Samsung launching Southeast Asia’s largest R&D center in Hanoi last December, which he said served as a foundation for Samsung’s long-term operations in Vietnam.

Vietnam considers the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of economic growth in the 2021-2030 period, he said, adding that the country prioritizes the attraction of projects with high technologies, innovation, and broad effects.

Mr. Park noted that Vietnam is Samsung’s most important hub in the world. The Vietnamese Government has given great support to Samsung to effectively operate in the country over the years, he went on, emphasizing that Samsung has called on its subsidiaries to continue to invest in Vietnam.
