Design platform Canva has officially entered the Vietnamese market, introducing its Canva AI 2.0 ecosystem and plans to develop 500 Vietnamese-localised fonts for local users.

The Digital Transformation Framework for SMEs was officially announced on December 2 at a workshop on digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Framework will provide specific instructions for businesses of each size and in each field on the road to digital transformation.
The Ministry of Information and Communications launched an agricultural production support portal, tmdt.mic.gov.vn, on December 1, to promote the development of the agricultural and rural digital economy. Agriculture is one of eight industries prioritizing digital transformation. Nearly 3.1 million agricultural production households around the country have been supported on e-commerce platforms.
Ensuring information security is being prioritized around Vietnam. According to Mr. Tran Minh Triet, Vice Chairman of VNISA Branch, 71 per cent of surveyed enterprises have a unit or department in charge of information security, while 59 per cent plan to engage information security services.
Vietnam’s e-commerce market is to reach $13 billion this year and will continue to grow at 32 per cent a year, to an estimated $39 billion by 2025. The country will have the second-largest e-commerce market in Southeast Asia, after Indonesia.
The “Vietnam National Pavilion”, which has introduced and sold products from prestigious and high-quality Vietnamese brands to China since 2019, will be launched online for the first time, on Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com. The launch creates an additional distribution channel for Vietnamese exporters.
Vietnam currently has 39 cloud service providers but they hold a market share of less than 20 per cent. The total market value in 2020 reached more than $196 million and is forecast to reach $603.34 million by 2026, with annual growth of 18.8 per cent. Cloud computing is expected to contribute 1 per cent of GDP by 2025.
