Entitled “Accelerate to Breakthrough”, the “Doing Business in Vietnam 2022-2023” guidebook was released on December 12, the first project jointly completed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department of Economic Affairs and Deloitte Vietnam.
Featuring various topics, such as an overview of Vietnam’s economy; types of direct investment in the country; accounting and auditing and tax and customs regulations; and foreign exchange controls, the guidebook provides a comprehensive view of the country’s business and investment environment.
The 56-page, English-language publication targets foreign enterprises and investors who are looking for business opportunities in Vietnam.
“The publication comes at the right time, as Vietnam needs to take advantage of the opportunities from global supply chains diversifying and restructuring,” said Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs.
She highlighted economic diplomacy as a key and central driving force for Vietnam’s rapid and sustainable development.
With that in mind, she went on, economic diplomacy will be conducted more robustly in the time to come, focusing on people, localities, and enterprises, while adding that “to that end, it needs coordination from the business community, associations like AmCham and EuroCham, and leading world financial and consulting groups like Deloitte, among others.”
