Domestic gold prices hit all-time high

Selling prices for SJC-branded gold bars in Vietnam surged to a historic high of VND152 million ($5,779) per tael on November 11.

One tael equals 37.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces.

Buying prices also climbed to a record VND150 million per tael. Both buying and selling rates increased by VND1.8 million ($68.4) from the previous day.

Gold ring prices followed the same upward trajectory, soaring to VND147.3 million per tael for buying and VND149.8 million per tael for selling—an increase of VND2 million per tael.

On the global market, gold prices continued to edge up, rising 0.7% to $4,145 per ounce. At this rate, domestic prices remain approximately VND18.86 million ($717) per tael higher than international levels.
