Gold prices in Vietnam’s domestic market rebounded on October 29, following a sharp drop of nearly VND4 million ($152) per tael during the previous day’s afternoon trading session.
One tael equals 37.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces.
By the end of the morning session, SJC-branded gold bars were quoted at VND144.9 million ($5,509) per tael for buying and VND146.9 million ($5,585) per tael for selling, up VND1.8 million ($68) from the previous day.
On the global market, gold prices rose slightly by 0.3% to $3,963 per ounce. At this rate, domestic gold prices remained about VND19.74 million ($750) per tael higher than international prices.
