The People’s Committee of Dong Nai province in southern Vietnam has approved Construction Corporation No.1 (CC1) as the investor to develop a major bridge project under a public–private partnership (PPP) model.

The Cat Lai bridge will link Dong Nai province's Long Thanh International Airport with Ho Chi Minh City.

Under the committee's decision, CC1 must submit a detailed investment proposal to local authorities before October 31, 2025.

According to the company’s preliminary proposal, the bridge will span 4.7 km as part of an 11.6-kilometre route, designed for vehicles traveling at speeds of up to 80 km per hour. The structure will feature eight lanes across a 33.5-metre-wide deck and a clearance height of over 55 metres.

The bridge’s starting point will be on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, while its ending point will connect to the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, enhancing regional connectivity and reducing travel time between key southern economic hubs.

Total investment capital is estimated at over VND18.8 trillion ($714.8 million).
